The Third Country Training Programme on Strengthening of Measurement Standards
Institutes of Asia Pacific Countries is organized as the 4th time for a 42 days during January
16 to February 24, 2012. Twenty counterparts from 11 countries which are Bangladesh,
Cambodia, Fiji, India, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Vietnam,
were invited to be trained in 5 parameters of Angle, Photometry, Radiation Thermometry,
RF and Torque Standards.
Besides the 5 parameters of measurement standards which are mainly focused
on training together with ISO/IEC 17025 and Uncertainty of Measurement, a 3 days training
on the Awakened Genius Within was arranged for counterparts to gain their cooperation for
teamwork as well as group discussions for the planning on their future cooperation. Also,
cultural visit at Chang Island and a night show at Siam Niramit were arranged for all
counterparts to feel the attractions of Thailand.

For all times during the training course, all counterparts have given good
cooperation. Although a lot of technical information was contributed in a very tight schedule,
great jobs have been done by all counterparts in order to reach the Project Purpose. The
outputs of Calibration Certificates and Calibration Procedures were submitted by all
counterparts as the evidences of their hard work, attention and willingness to continue what
they have learned here when they go back to their countries..
