The main image is usually related
to the front cover image, it is the
largest image on the page which
shows that the artist will be the
main feature of the magazine.Page numbers
There are page numbers
next to the features on
most contents pages so
the audience are able to
easily find the page that
they are looking for, the
numbers are usually a
different colour to the
text so they stand out.
Cover lines
The cover lines on the contents page are always
different to the ones on the front page, the
reader can find out what the magazine is about.
Subsidiary images
There are small images on the
contents page which are called
subsidiary images, they show
what will be inside the magazine
and they are small so they don't
take the attention off the main
image.
Title
The words contents stands
as it is in a unique font
from the other text on the
page and is also in a
different colour which fits
in with the colour scheme
of the page. It is always at
the top of the page so
when the audience look
through the magazine they
can easily find it.
Columns
Columns are used on a contents page so the layout looks
neat and the numbers are easy to follow and find.

next to the contents title to show the brand of the magazine
