1. Veterans Issues Research Reflection #3
This week, I felt more organized because Mrs. Hamilton gave us a sheet of a timeline that would be best to follow in making sure to accomplish all tasks that are needed to be done. One of her tasks was to finish writing our research questions. I came up with five very well thought out questions that I think will cover all the bases of the topic that I want to cover. I think that the topic that I have officially chosen, Sexual Abuse of Female Soldiers, is a wonderful topic to talk about because it will help everyone see that these women fight two wars. Not only do they fight the actual Iraq war, but they also fight the male soldiers that threaten to rape them and sexually abuse them. War for them is a very unsafe environment and even their closest friends could become their enemy in an instant just because they are motivated by sexual desire. Of course, when you are at war for around 3-4 years, you feel deprived and your body seeks outlets for satisfying this deprivation. Unfortunately, it is the women that have to suffer and pay the price to satisfy these pleasure seeking male soldiers.
