Educational technology aims to facilitate learning and improve performance through appropriate use of technology. There are five key sectors: design, development, utilization, management, and evaluation. As educational technologists, we can improve quality education in several ways. This includes creating good quality and affordable learning media to engage students, providing teacher training to develop effective teaching skills, conducting research when revising curricula, developing strategic learning approaches, and expanding the use of technology resources like the internet, computers and projectors in the classroom. The overall goal is to design, develop, utilize, manage and evaluate the role of technology in education according to the five sectors of educational technology.

Educational technology is the study and ethical practice of facilitating learning and
improving performance by creating, using and managing appropriate technological processes and
resources.There’s five sectors, design, development, utilization, management, and evaluation.
Therefore, as educational technology we can do many things to improve quality education.
Creating media, media is really important equipment for learning process between teacher and
student. How to create cheap, affordable, and good quality media. It’s not just media that we
used to knowledge transfer but to make the student getting interest with the matter and make
them understand.
Provide training to the teacher how to be good teacher. Being a teacher not just giving matter to
student, it’s more than that. The attitude when the teacher face their student, how to teach,
improving teacher competence, being smart and creative teacher.
Doing reseachwhen the government want to change the curriculum. So, it’s not just change it.
Not just adopted from other country.
Develop strategies and learning patterns. Learning strategy is very important when the teacher
giving the matter. It’s between “yes” and “no”. “yes” mean if the student approve what the
teacher giving. “no” mean if the student ignore the matter and not interest on it.
Provide learning resources. It’s not just teacher and books. There’s so many things that can use
to be learning resources.
Change the teacher and student mindset. Being a teacher is not just formality, being private
servants or money oriented.School is 2nd home for the student. So, teacher as 2nd parent for
them.What parent do to their child can also be done by teachers. Then, being student also not just
formality. Go to school, everymorning, do the homework, paying attention, etc. Being student is
a really good oppurtunity to get knowledge from everywhere. Not every single person can be
student. Study is not forced, it’s necessary. Increase passion between teacher and student.
Matter packagingmakes to get student attention.
Solve the learning problems. Certainly, because it’s the focus sector of Educational
Technology. There’s problem still occur in students learning. We should fix it as soon as
possible.

2. Expand the technology function. Using technology in learning is very important. Many things
to do with technology.Internet, computer, LCD projector and other things.Just how we manage it
into good learning media and resources. ICT, E-learning, Online Learning, etc also can be
expanded.
The conclusion is what is our role to improving quality education is on five sectors of
Educational Technology, it’s design, development, utilization, management, and evaluation. By
that five sectors we can expand to many things.
