4. Bike Ministry Needs:
Used, good condition adult bikes Used, good condition children’s bikes
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 6:1-13
New bike helmets Bike tools and supplies (inner tubes, etc.)
Monetary contributions can be designated by check to OCEC.
Note on memo line for bike ministry.
Purpose of Ministry? Provide bikes to kids and adults that cannot afford them.
Some adults have used the bikes to go to work or to find a job. Our thoughts
are that every kid should have a bike and any adult that needs one to help him/
her function.
Bikes are received on a donation basis at the OCEC House of Prayer garage
(916 Linn Ave.). Bikes are then refurbished and up-graded by a volunteer staff
so they are in good working condition. Bikes should be in good condition.
Please, no rusty bikes.
Bikes are delivered by a volunteer
or picked up by the recipient.
Bikes are given to anyone that cannot
afford one.
Love INC screens the recipients
and also takes referrals from DHS.
Depending on the condition of a bike,
the cost can run between $5-$35.
A happy bike recipient.
New tires cost $7.
Helmet cost is between $7-$15.
26 bikes have been provided to needy children and adults so far this year.
More are needed, can you help? Last years total was approx 57 bikes.
For more information on bike donations,
call Gerry Hines at 503 656-0903 or the Love INC office at 503-655-4223 .
