Differentiated Learning ,[object Object],[object Object],[object Object]
What is Differentiated Learning? At its most basic level, differentiating instruction means “shaking up” what goes on in the classroom so that students have multiple options for taking in information, making sense of ideas and expressing what they learn. Differentiation is teaching with planned intentionality to ensure maximum growth of each learner in , and hopefully beyond , essential learning outcomes.
What is Differentiated Learning? Process: Differentiating the opportunities for learners to process the content, ideas or skills which have been introduced. In school usually the activity choice. A sense making activity. Content: Diffentiating in response to a child’s readiness level, interests, or learning profile. Product: A long term endeavour to help students rethink, use and extend what they have learned over a period of time. Choice, even guided choice if necessary.
