Pia Picasso wanted a studio based on her relative Pablo Picasso's Cubist painting style. The cabin's design was inspired by a painting from Salvador Luca, a Puerto Rican artist who creates abstract images representing his colorful heritage. The objective was to design a space for Pia to use as both a studio and gallery reflecting Luca's painting through a Cubist lens.
