8. Things to Do Scrutiny’s role is to act as a vehicle to enable young people, to ask questions on how decisions have been made, to consider whether service improvements can be put in place and make recommendations. Scrutiny?

10. Scrutiny is... Being a friend! Talking to the people affected by the Things to do Campaign, and coming back with recommendations on how the issue can be solved!

12. Chairs Role • To keep the work of the group on track • To lead on planning the project • To present a positive image of the project to young people and adults alike. • To develop positive relationship with the witnesses • To encourage contributions and encouraging all members to be involved

13. Scrutiny Members Role • To attend and contribute to training/meetings • To collect and look through evidence to produce effective recommendations • To act with authority, fairness, impartiality and credibility • To follow up agreed work eg. research, between Scrutiny meetings as appropriate
