Who are White Night Films?
White Night Films is a boutique film production company based in Dalston, East London.

We produce promotional, documentary and fiction films for clients such as Vodafone, Microsoft and Channel 4. We’re young, creative and not
afraid of hard work.

We’re a small company with roots in independent film and urban music video, so we treat each project individually and with a filmmaker’s eye.
It’s an approach that has led to many happy clients who come back to us again and again.

We’re great at making films and also at getting them seen. We’ve distributed our work through many mediums including digital cinema, broadcast
television, mobile phone and online video.

If this sounds interesting give us a call and see what we could do for you …
La Nuit Blanche
We started up from a bedroom in 2003, making urban music videos and documentaries. To keep our costs low we had only one editing computer
and so worked in shifts around the clock.

Being a cosmopolitan crowd we thought the French phrase “Nuit Blanche” – literally “White Night” - meaning “to stay up all night” neatly
encapsulated our hardworking-but-also-staying-out-late-at-nightclubs ethos.

Now we have more equipment and more reasonable hours but our work ethic and commitment remains as strong as ever.
Case Study – Cut It Out Films
To mark the National Anti-Bullying Week 2008 we produced three short films for Vodafone in conjunction with PR agency Threepipe and charity
BeatBullying. Working closely with young screenwriters, we made films that were inspired by actual events. The films were screened on Vodafone
Live and online; young people voted for their favourite which then played on over 100 screens at Vue Cinemas. It was the first charity film to be
screened in High Definition in the UK and recently won a series of awards.

“White Night Films are without doubt one of the most accommodating, creative and cooperative suppliers I have ever worked with. The result
was low stress levels for us throughout the entire project and a very happy Vodafone client at the end of the campaign. We even managed to
have a few laughs along the way, as they’re also a thoroughly pleasant bunch to work with.”

Peter McAllister, Threepipe Communications

CorpComms Awards 2008 - Best Understanding and Use of New Media.
PRCA Awards 2008 - Campaign of the Year, Best Understanding of New Media.
PR Excellence Awards 2009 – Best European CSR Campaign.
Case Study – Tomy Instructional DVD
We produced a 60 minute, multilingual DVD to show children all the fun new ways of using the Cella range of Tomy toys.

We guided the project from concept and scripting through a multiple camera, green screen shoot all the way to building an interactive DVD.
We pressed 300,000 DVDs which were distributed throughout Great Britain, France, Germany and Holland.

“White Night Films handled a complex, multilingual project with efficiency and professionalism. The results made children all over Europe very
busy and parents very happy. I would highly recommend them.”

Rachel Corr, Tomy UK.
Case Study – 4Play: Simian Mobile Disco Documentary
Following our work for Live Earth, Wichita Recordings approached us to produce a short film on pioneering electronica double act Simian
Mobile Disco.

Our kinetic, multicamera HD camerawork showcased the alchemy of the electronic duo’s live performances whilst they discussed their production,
musical philosophy and what it’s like to DJ with a broken arm.

Broadcast on Channel 4, March 17th 2008.
