Presentation given by Pragya Kulshreshtha of Sacred Heart Convent School in the Stage 3 of Mathura Genius Award 2009 (Senior Level) organized by Paarth Educational Foundation (www.paarth.in)
7. As its been well said by Eleanor Roosevelt “The
future belongs to those who believe in the
beauty of DREAMS”.
So to build up perfect Mathura Nagari its the
basic minimum necessity to design a dream with
complete architect mind.
8. When we start on with any discussion regarding dream
city the thoughts which first pops up in our mind are
neon lights, crowded malls, big restaurants, disc, plush
theaters, debonair boys, skyscrapers, night life etc. And
slums and people living out there should be thrown out of
the society.
BUT this is not the real pleasure the real want of Sant Ki
Nagari Mathura. The reality is miles away from this
station of MIND’ S EXPRESS.
It lies with all the Eco friendly, Self Sustaining,
Economical, Flourishing, Hygienic, Modern, Broad
Minded, Clean – Green, SUPRA METRO TOWN.
9. GLORIOUS PAST
Mathura Nagari one of the Saptapuries which was before
known as ‘Madhuban’ is the 2000 years old Master piece
of human creation. It has its first historic recognition in
=s r k ; q x. It was having the technology of Cosmo
medical Science. Beautiful monuments, it was the second
school of art where Buddha’s statues were made after
the Gandhara School of Art. Mathura was flourishing
with cattle thus milk production was at its hights. There
were several Kunds for water conservation and other
purposes.
There is a long long description of glorious Mathura
which will never end even if the life ends.

11. Renowned Brij poet Soordas said in context of brij that
“mw/k k S ek s g s c z t f c l j r u k g h a

12. PITIFUL PRESENT
• Improper drainage system, deranged water, electric
power, LPG (Fuel) supplies.
• Roads as if the surface of moon full of craters.
• Malls adding up in miss use of available water,
decreasing ground water label.
• Lack of adequate primary education pertaining illiteracy.
• Critically polluted areas.
• No difference between known market places and
dustbins, in fact the latter ones are cleaner as instead of
USE ME they are according to Mathuraites saying “
Using us is a punishable act”.
13.
14. • Walls written no advertisement, spiting and toilet please
are completely crimson in color, foul smelling and having
as many as pamphlets posible.
• Road sides are parking lots resulting in traffic jams.
• Small shops surrounding the temples as if it’s the market
place rather then worshiping place.
• Already there are no proper footpath along all roads and
which are present are usually occupied shop keepers as
there display area.
As acting is better then lecturing so stop cursing and lets
have solutions to all the problems
15.
16. SOLVED FUTURE
• We just can’t remove the down thrown classes from our
dream town as they include social helpers such as
plumbers, washer men, cobbler, watch man, lock smith,
hawkers, mason, carpenter, shaft cleaner, electrician
and many more. Slums are nothing but so called illegal
hutments of this common population. Instead we can
have particular areas where we can provide them all one
proper kitchen, proper toilet facilities and a huge hall for
dining, sleeping, resting etc. We can provide such sets to
them allotting ten of such families one such set. We can
make a rule that every Government Teacher would have
to teach all the children in those settlements for two
years in their complete job span, which would be
enforced for at least one year for private teachers.
17. This will help to overcome the problem of slums as well
as illiteracy and lack of moral values would be overcome
leading to ills like robbery, cheat, pocket picking etc.
• Mathura of my dreams would be with appropriate water
supply drainage system and power supply with power
cuts at announced time and changes declared earlier in
newspaper and local channels.
• Cleanliness would be the first priority as cleanliness is
next to Godliness for that purpose fixed cemented
dustbins and continous pit along the roadside will be
introduced and unloaded every morning for next day.
18. • Cleanliness of Jamuna would be the second measure in
the dream city. Accompanying the cleanliness correct
depth will also be provided and checked regularly which
would be continued to be same if we allow people to
have silt out of it for their use giving some percent tax to
government
• ROADS
The roads should be well lighted with proper dividers and
speed breakers and traffic lights at every crossing with
zebra crossings atleast at main roads. It would be
checked that roads are without craters and homes for
vectors and pathogens
• Malls should be there but without artificial A.C’s and
using non conventional renewable sources of energy.
19. • Schools and free evening classes will be introduced by
the group of literates for any age of illiterates. We will
check out the percentage of people joining those classes
and encourage even force if required rest to join those
classes.
• Complaint boxes will be kept at various locations which
will be regularly checked.
• Mass discussions of general public with present MLA
atleast once in 2 months
• ENVIORNMENT
We will have a law that every school will have an
enviornmental week per year.
Neem trees would be planted along the roadsides with
some baniyan trees between.
20. Chimneys and other outlets of industries will be having
proper electrostatic precipitators.
• UNITED-CUM- TRADITIONAL
Resorts made of wood and straw on cement pillars and
iron frame. Same will be the case with big Malls.
All the buildings in Vrindavan, Brij, Nand Gaon, Barsana
and other surrounding parts will be having symmetrical
colours preferably of yellow, brown and red.
• We will bring remote monuments and temples with
beautiful architectures as Kans Ka Kila under public
consideration
• Mining which results in desertification leading to lack of
fertile lands will be cultivated in pastures lands thereby
increasing milk productivity as the pasture lands will
21. work as fodder for the cattles.
• Tourist industry which is quite flourishing in Mathura has
given a record that 5 crore of tourists visit it per year in
contrast of which just 20 lac tourists visit Taj per year,
which is one of the seven wonders of the world.
• COLLECTION OF MILK
All the milkmen will be having same rate of their milk and
will keep their cattles in the same cattle farms. They
would be numbered for their recognisition.
• POPULATION CONTROLING LAW
Every person having more than 2 children will have to
adopt as many number of children as they are having
more than two from the orphanage.
22. • BEGGARS BUZZING AS BEES
None of the beggar would be allowed to enter residential
areas and tourist places and if they do so they will have
to join the volunteer team of Mathura for various tasks to
be done. During the time of festivals they will be kept in
fixed areas known as Dankhash.
• TRAFFIC JAMS
Anyone caught by the traffic controller which would be
one of the NGO Officers will charge a penalty 20 percent
of ones monthly salary.
• LAW AGAINST SPITTING
This is the most important law which we Mathuraties
really need. Anyone would be caught spitting bloodred
on roads, walls, in streets etc. will be punished for his act.
23. CONCLUSION
• Imagine the progress we Mathuraties
would be making with literate so called
over-population so take a resolution to
forget every distinction of profession, race,
sex, status and religion and follow the one
single religion that is WORK with the
motto ‘ Work is Worship ’
24. • ‘ Oh teens tomorrows deans take care of your
city not mearly as a city but as your own room
and be the one volunteer for the
great job to be done’. As we know that
“ Boond se bharta sagar ”
Mathura of tomorrow will be what and how we
make it. Above all description of
DEVELOPMENT is not only a glorious fairy tale
but is DEV upto its limit, DEVEL when it crosses
its limit and Overall Progress by MEN of
Technology for luxury.
