2. What happened? With a 6.9 earthquake, thirty-eight people died in India with seven others in Nepal. More than 90 were injured in India.

3. What is an earthquake and how does it happen? a series of vibrations brought up in the earth's crust by the sudden crack of rocks in which damage has been slowly building up.

4. Two Main Causes of Earthquakes Firstly, they can be connected to explosive volcanic eruptions. Secondly, they can be triggered by activity connected with margins and faults.

5. How did the earthquake start? A strong earthquake started in northeastern India and Nepal on Sunday night killing at least 16 people.

6. Death Toll The death toll from a 6.9-magnitude earthquake that hit the India-Nepal border has risen to 8.3.
