2. CHARACTERS
The principal character
of the legend was Paula,
a young very lovely girl,
who came from
Cardeñosa, a village in
Ávila.
The bad character was a
boy, known as the villain
of the story. He lived in
Avila, and he was a rich
boy.
3. WHERE AND WHEN DID THE
LEGEND HAPPEN?
The legend happened in Avila.
It happened in the last days of the Romans time.
4. WHAT HAPPENED TO PAULA?
Paula went to the church to pray to the saints.
There, the rich boy saw her, and he followed
her until she did something to stop him.
5. WHY DIDN´T PAULA WANT TO
KNOW THE BOY?
Paula didn t want to know the boy because
she was very devout.
6. WHAT DID SHE FINALLY DO TO
STOP THE BOY?
She decided to pray to the saints to protect her.
At that moment, a miracle happened, and her face was
covered with a dark and black beard.
7. The boy saw her, and he forgot his intentions.
From that moment, Paula lived in penitence
devoting to the worship of San Segundo.
8. CONCLUSIONS
In my opinion, he was a bit sexist
because he wanted to have the
girl, even against her wish.
Also he can be described
as bad-mannered and
wicked because when a
girl ignored you, you
usually stop following her
or you forget her; but in
this case the boy didn´t
give up.
He was a pest to the girl,
because he didn´t allow Medival bridge on the
the young girl to live her medival road from
own life.
Cardeñosa.
