1. Introduction to Unit 8- Production for Theatre Performance.
I will be working on the Arley Hall Contemporary
Dance Show over two nights: Wednesday 12th
February and Thursday 13th February. The
venue is Arley Hall & Gardens and it will be
shown in the Gallery and the Drawing Room.
The audience capacity will be about 100 over
the two different nights. This performance will
showcase the A level dances at Priestly College
within this professional, site-specific dance
event.

My Specific Job Role
My job role within this specific event is to be part of the Front of House team. Within this
role I will be: setting up the front area of the venue; making sure the customers have the
best experience; organising refreshments; the paying system and also the overall
organisation of the event.

3. Running order
My manager is Ashleigh. She has contacted me and answered all my questions and will talk
to me before the event so I can work out any complications and make sure the production
runs smoothly and efficiently. She has told me all my roles and responsibilities within Arley
Hall Front of House Team such as on Wednesday 12th February, I will specifically be in
charge of the box office where I will be welcoming all the audience members and collecting
tickets and also at the end of the night I will be holding the Moldova collection buckets on
the exit to collect as much money for the charity as possible. On the Thursday I will be in the
car park helping the car directed to the spaces and also helping audience members to the
entrance of Arley Hall. On both nights I will be helping out with selling all the refreshments
4. in the interval and also help tidy up. I will also be guiding the audience members as they
switch rooms during the interval, to ensure it runs smoothly.
