For years, consumers have been beyond frustrated with the lack of transparency on medical bills. Mass confusion and a headache usually ensue when one receives a medical bill. These documents are laced with cryptic terminology, vague coding, and pricing that often appears arbitrary. For many, the medical billing industry has devolved into feeling like one big hustle - luring consumers in to treat them for problems while leaving them at the hands of “billing and coding specialists” who rack interpret scribbly doctors notes into a array of codes and sky high prices. Services are often bundled, unbundled, and then overcharged time and time again. In many cases, bills even contain services that were never rendered and time spent in a room that a patient was not occupied or should not have been charged for.
