AJECTIVES- TÍNH TỪ- ĐỊNH NGHĨA VÀ CÁCH DÙNG Nhữngtừdùngđểbổnghĩachodanhtừhoặcđạitừ.  Chỉcómộtdạngkhôngbiếnđổi Dùngđểmiêutảđặcđiểmkháchquancủasựvậthiệntượng, vídụnhưtuổitác, hìnhdáng, màusắc…(age, size, shape, color…).
TÍNH TỪ- ĐỊNH NGHĨA VÀ CÁCH DÙNG Dùngđểmiêutả ý kiến, đánhgiá, nhậnxét, bìnhluậnvềmộtsựvậthiệntượngnàođó.  Ex: I have bought a blue hat. It is very beautiful  Blue: đặcđiểmkháchquancủachiếcmũlàmàuxanh Beautiful: nhậnđịnhcủachủngữ (I) vềchiếcmũ, “tôi” chorằngchiếcmũđẹp
AJECTIVES- TÍNH TỪ-VỊ TRÍ Tínhtừđứngtrướcdanhtừ Ex: That expensive ring was sold to a rich man.  Tínhtừđứngsauđộngtừtobe, hoặc linking verbs (độngtừnối) Ex: Your mother is so nice/ They are hardworking Linking verbs: look, sound, taste, smell, feel, seem, appear (dườngnhư), remain (duytrì, tồntại), become, turn (trởnên)…NhữngđộngtừnàyđượctheosaubởiTínhtừ.  Ex:  She looks sad Côấytrôngthậtbuồnbã    This cake tastes good Chiếcbánhnàycóvịngonđấy    Her idea sounds very interesting.  Ý kiếncủacôấynghecóvẻrấtthúvị
AJECTIVES- THỨ TỰ SẮP XẾP TÍNH TỪ Khidùngnhiềutínhtừđểbổnghĩachodanhtừ, vậynhữngtínhtừđósẽđượcsắpxếptheothứtựđánhsốtừ 1 8 sauđây: Opinion: silly, beautiful, horrible, difficult… Size : large, tiny, enormous, little… Age: ancient, new, young, old… Shape: square, round, flat, rectangular… Colour : blue, pink, reddish, grey… Origin : French, Chinese, American… Material: wooden, metal, cotton, paper… Purpose: These adjectives often end with "-ing". ("sleeping bag, "roasting tin")…

Gồmnhữngtừchỉcáchthức (slowly, quickly...), thờigian (today, tonight…), nơichốn (above, here…), tầnsuất (always…), mứcđộ (very…)….
