Introduction to the Holocaust The Holocaust was the huge murder of six million Jews and millions of other people witch lead up to the Second World War. The killings took place in Europe between 1933 and 1945. They were organized by the German Nazi party which was led by Adolf Hitler
WHAT WAS THE HOLOCAUST? The largest group of victims were Jewish people 7 out of 9 Jews that lived in Europe were murdered most of them were killed because they belonged to religious and cretin groups which the Nazi solders wanted to wipe out this type of killing was calledgenocide which meant they killed people due to there religious background or ethnic racial. Nobody really knows exactly how many Jews were killed but many non Jewish victims were killed such as citizens and soldiers from soviet-union , Catholics from Poland ,Serbians and. The Nazi also murdered teachers politicians journalists and anyone who spoke out against them or Hitler
Nazi camps Germany had about 20,000 camps to imprison people in it these camps were used for many purposes including labor or extermination camps only for mass murder . As their power began to rise they began to create detention or imprisonment so they could kill and one who thought was a threat to them most of them were German socialist , social democrats . These camps were called “concentration” camps” because they focused on one location . After Germany took over Australia in march 1938 the Nazis arrested germen and Austrian Jews and put them in concentration camps , all located in Germany . After the violent Kristallnachent ( “Night of broken glass”)in November 1938 the Nazi started arresting adult males Jews and trapped them in camps for a brief period .
Continuing the germen invasion of Poland in September 1938 the Nazi opened forced labor many of them died from exhaustion starvation . SS unites guarded the camps during world war two the system began to increase in some camps doctors performed experimented on prisoners .
To make the final solution was (The genocide of mass destruction of Jews) the Nazi made extermination camps in Poland the country with the largest Jewish Population . The camps were made for the mass murder of Jews .chelomno the first extermination camp opened in December 1941. The Nazi constructed gas chambers ( the rooms that filled with poison gas to kill them) over 6,000 Jews were gassed there each day . THE FINAL SOLUTION
Millions of people were imprisoned and abused in the various types of Nazi camps. Under SS management the Germans and their partners murdered more than three million Jews in the extermination camps alone. Only a small percent of those imprisoned in Nazi camps survived.
In the final months of war they started to move camp inmates by train or marches often called death marches to prevent anyone from escaping .the marches continued till may 7 1945 were they surrendered to the allies world war 2 ended on may 8 while soviet forces announced there victory on may 9 1945. In the end of the holocaust many survivors were found in shelter between 1948 and 1951 almost 700,000 Jews immigrated to Israel    THE END OF THE HOLOCAUST
