gloves, and trash
bags will be
supplied. Bottled
water is advisable.
Team leaders
should provide

High-topped work boots
with non-skid soles will
help prevent slips and
falls. Long pants, and
long sleeved shirts and
gloves are a must. During
hunting season, and/or
along roads, neon colored
vests should be worn.
Sunscreen and insect
repellant should be
applied before going into
the field.

work in teams or
pairs. That way if
someone gets
hurt, someone is
there to help or get
help. Also let your
volunteers know
where to find the
first-aid-kit.

may explode.

Insect Repellant

Virus), Sunscreen to

Work only during daylight hours.
If it’s raining or has rained
remember that the
banks can be slippery.
Volunteers should watch where
they walk. Also
Do not “horse around” or do
anything to purposely distract
drivers if along the road way.
Avoid insects such as fire ants,
yellow jackets, wasps, etc. Also,
be aware of and avoid animals
such as snakes, possums and
raccoons.
