18. CHALLENGES
• Delayed implementation of 2nd cycle
workshops
– Accounted delay by Bulacan Coordination in
their off-campus university workshop due to
the semestral break that occurred during the
opening of the 2nd cycle. Majority of
participants where senior students having their
on-the-job training schedule
– Accounted delay in Manila after venues were
tied in with school setting – observed semestral
break
• Dissolved workshop sessions due to low
attendance turnouts and participant issues
– Bulacan: Session consisted of employers
(husband and wives) and their employees.
Gaps between the employees and other
business reasons hindered the session to push
through
– Manila: Low attendance turnout due to
18 aftermath of “Habagat” or flash flood
15 December 2012
19. CHALLENGES
• Timing of 2nd Cycle Schedule
– Due to a push-back schedule of 2nd cycle, the opening
sessions went parallel with the 3rd and 4th quarter activities of
schools prompting for sessions to experience increase
absences among students (Bulacan)
• Tracking of participant attendance who is part of the
same community
– Participants who are part of the same community and has 3
PLW classes for the week often times jumps off from 1 class
to the other making it difficult to track attendance across
guides
• No point-persons for pre-cycle coordination
• Non-payment of materials by participants
• Rescheduling of workshop sessions in conflict with
long weekend with long legal holidays, interference
with church or community-based activities
• New parish priest assignments within the targeted
19 venues 15 December 2012
20. CHALLENGES
• Low venue turn-out due to poor
follow-ups to give way for the
Culmination Week with Fr.
Ignacio Larranaga
• Guides who got sick or had
commitment concerns during
the 2nd cycle. Need for local
team to identify areas of
opportunities with the concern
guide
• Perceived poor planning skills in
the 2nd cycle that contributed to
low attendance turnout for adult
workshops and schools of
20 formation
15 December 2012
21. PLANS
• Pursue active promotion of PLW to nearby
parishes and towns as part of National’s
expansion plans
• Work with school systems to make PLW not a
strict requirement but a preferred spiritual
activity
• Initiate school of formation involving
participants from other provinces such as
Norzagaray, Sta. Maria and Marilao (Bulacan)
• Broaden promotion efforts among PLW
workshop repeaters to hold a word-of-mouth
campaign for next PLW cycles
• Encourage communities/ interest groups to
secure sponsor for PLW workshop venues
• Create a single master list for easier tracking of
participants across venues (Manila)
• Increase promotion thru social media sites
such as facebook and website
21 15 December 2012
22. PLANS
• Schedule personal promotion to
targeted venues of parishes
• Encourage each guide to contribute at
