10. Since 1991, Romania has been a democratic republic. Their constitution is based on the nation of France. Government

If you are invited to a Romanian’s home, bring chocolates, flowers, or liquor to the host/hostess. You must bring an odd number of flowers, not an even number. Even numbers are used for funerals. If you visit someone’s house, check to see if there are shoes at the door. If there are, take yours off. If during dinner at a guests’ you are not finished, you must cross your knife and fork to show this. Customs

25. Black Monster This game is played after the sunset, when it is dark. This game can be played with 5 or more children. 1 is a mother, 1 is the Black Monster, and the rest are the children. The Black Monster and mother pick an hour for the monster to attack. (ex: Hour 5) The mother calls: ‘Children, children! Come to dinner!’ And they answer: ‘We are afraid of the Black Monster!’ Then the monster appears in the distance. The children ask him questions and he answers like any other monster. (Mean and evil.) Next the children sing: ‘Hour 1 came, Black Monster isn’t here. Hour 2 came, Black Monster isn’t here…’ When they get to whatever number the monster chose, he/she attacks and chases the children. If he/she tags one, they become the Black Monster, and the game starts again. This is like a Romanian version of tag, with a twist.  Black Monster
