2. What will Healthwatch do?
 As an organisation separate from the City Council and
NHS, it will gather information about Health and Social
Care in Birmingham:
 Through members of Healthwatch
 Through members of the public
 Through research
 Through enter and view
 It will lobby the NHS and Birmingham City Council to
improve services
 It will give information to local people

3. Opportunities
 We can decide how Healthwatch will be developed in
Birmingham
 We can use the consultation to make a Healthwatch that
people want to use
 We can set the activities that we expect from Healthwatch
 We can make Healthwatch something you want to take
part in

4. What do we want to know?
 How should Healthwatch talk to you?
 How do you want to get involved?
 How should Healthwatch report what it does?
 Should Healthwatch support people to make complaints?
 Any other ideas?

5. How are we consulting?
 Through our consultation document
 Attending public meetings
 Through local websites
 Via our ambassadors
 A public consultation event Tues 21 August 6pm at Carrs Lane
Church, Birmingham.
