  1. Welcome…. This is actually the 4 5h bizcamp I have attended band the second time time I have given a full talk. I did a quick lightlining talk at Craigavon and spoke at Bizcamp belfast last year, so if you were at that you might want to leave now as Its’ tweaked So my format today is just addressing the questions I find people tend to ask when they meet me. Can I just state from the outset that I am a NON BUILDER. My technical knowledge if fairly limited to if you have any questions regarding programming please direct them to website ni or Mr. Jason Bell – thanks! The reason for the title was because of the increasing use of the term “non builder”. I recently heard Sarah Newman from Dragons den and dob com millionaire speak and asked her how important it was for her to understand the technology behind her product. Her answer was the same as mine would have been. It’s not. That ‘s what I pay progarmmers to do. I l know what I want the website to do, how I want it to do it and the rest is handed over to the tecchies. So if you have an idea for an online business/resource, don’t think that you need to spend years learning how to programme – stick to what you are good at and leave it to the experts. By the way the quote “if you build it they will come” is probably the biggest misquote in cinemgatic history. Can anyone name the file? (Field of dreams) should be if you build it he will come… I am a married mother of three, originally from East Anglia. After being a bit of a gypsey for about 6-7 years spending time in London, Switzerland and the Middle East I came home in 1995 and am now settled in mid ulster. I qualiified as a bilingual secretary at the College of Business Studies on Brrunswick Street which means I can type, take shorthand dictation in French and German which is about as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike, except if I want to take notes at a meeting that I don’t want anyone else to ready then it’s super handy!
  2. On the subject ofocial media yes free to use, however your time isn’t free so always remember to factor that in. In 2009 we were shortlisted at the Irish web awards for Best Social Media Initiative and in 2010 we got to the final 5 for Best Guerilla Social Media Campaign – which is basically a SM campaign with zero spend. The plan is if II keep showing up Damien Mulley will just give in one year and give me something to make me go away  Can I just mention that Damien is currently organising the blog awards which take place in March at the Europa Hotel and are open for nomination I’m definitely not an expert, I just know what works for my business but one thought I would leave you with regards to social media is that fans and followers are like RESPECT - you cannot buy them, they have to be earned.
