Fedor Emelianenko is a Russian martial artist born in 1976 who has had a very successful career in sambo and mixed martial arts competitions. He began studying judo and sambo as a child in Stary Oskol, Russia. He received the title of International Master of Sports in Sambo in 1998 and became the world champion in 2001. He then went on to win world titles in Pride in 2004, 2005 and 2006. Fedor has had a very successful career winning championships and defeating top opponents across multiple organizations until his first loss in 2008. He continues to compete and has had over 30 wins against only a handful of losses in his career spanning over two decades.
2. Fedor Emelianenko was born on September 28, 1976
in Rubezhnoye , Luhansk region. In 1978 his family
moved to the Belgorod region - the city of Stary
Oskol. In Stary Oskol Fedor went to martial
arts, began studying judo and sambo . In 1998 he
received the title of International Master of Sports in
Sambo. In 2001, he became the champion of the
world . In 2003 he moved to the more prestigious
Federation – “Pride”. The same year he won the
world title on the version of "Pride" in 2004, 2005
and 2006 achieved it again , and in 2004 was also the
winner of the "Grand Prix of Pride" in the
heavyweight.
When Fedor ended the contract with "Pride" , he
had offers from federations K-1 , UFC. But

3. Fedor has now won championship belt in the world by WAMMA after winning
19 July 2008 on multiple world champion Tim Sylvia UFC version . In
November 2008, the first defeat in combat sambo. As part of the World

fight against Belarusian
Andrei Arlovski , knocking
out the opponent in the
middle of the first round . In
April 2009 in Tokyo ( Japan)
took the fight between
Emelianenko and WAMMA
champion at lightweight
Japanese Shiney Aoki, where
Fedor gained the victor . The
purpose of this was to
popularize sambo sparring in
the Land of the Rising Sun.
6. August 1, 2009 Fedor Emelianenko had to fight against American Josh
Barnett in the main event of the show «Trilogy», an organization which
deals with the company M- 1 Global and Affliction. However, after a
positive doping test Barnett fight, and with it the entire tournament
, were eliminated .
7. Later, Fedor signed a three- fight with
another American organization
Strikeforce, the first of which took
place on November 7, 2009 in Chicago
(USA). Fedor’s opponeet in this fight
was an American Brett Rogers.
In the second round Fedor failed, after
what Rogers was on the floor and did
not provide more resistance . Referee
John McCarthy stopped the fight
, declaring the winner of Emelianenko.
