America loves it's heroes. And while
time may be more physically kind to
some of those heroes than others,
the legacy they have built will carry them forever.
Richard Dean Anderson, known as the great MacGyver, was barely recognizable while grocery
shopping in Malibu, California on Wednesday.
The 65-year-old former hunk of television, while not quite as strapping as he used to be, appeared
very happy in his comfortable attire.
Cashing out: Richard Dean Anderson, 65, spotted grocery shopping in Malibu, California on

The first half of his career was largely invested in television, as he spent his first five years on
General Hospital and the consecutive three years on two CBS shows and a TV movie.
His biggest break came in the mid 80s while playing the leading role on the American adventure
show MacGyver.
Secret agent Angus MacGyver - after whom the term 'MacGyverism' has been coined - was known
for 'jury rigging' objects by quickly recreating them in an innovative way in order to solve a problem
or accomplish a task.
Going incognito: the all-American TV craftsmen loaded up the back of his vehicle with groceries
Flaunting his mustache and tousled silver hair, the 'brainy and brawny' actor smiled as he pushed
his cart through the parking lot and unloaded his groceries.
2. His dark blue sweatpants and white joggers
complemented the baby blue and navy blue
'Botswana' flag on his white long sleeve shirt.
The aging legend sported glasses tucked into his
collar and walked back to the car with a bag of pita
chips freely in his hand.

MacGyver star was a heartthrob back in 1985
during his prime
The Minneapolis native spent a large part of his
career traveling between north Minnesota,
Vancouver and Los Angeles.
Now settled in Malibu, he helped design and build his Midwest styled home, which was featured
after it was finished six years ago in Architectural Digest.
The semi-retired actor, director, and composer shifted his focus to being a single dad to his 16-yea-
-old daughter Wylie Anderson.
All-American: MacGyver's influence still remains strong today as the name has been coined for a
term used when someone creates an innovative object using random parts nearby
