Understanding Ashrams as Spheres of Consciousness and Future Development
1. ASHRAMS
The term Ashram is
defined in Sanskrit as a
hermitage or retreat where
a person goes to meet
himself.
Going to an ashram for
this purpose is a very
important step in our
evolution. As we strive
toward spirit, toward light,
and toward the
achievement of our inner
self, we must begin to
detach ourselves.
2. “detachment”
Detachment means not to be caught
by the glamour of the physical,
emotional, or mental possessions you
may have. As a person detaches, he
becomes more involved in life in such a
way that he is not involved in personal
interests but in doing something good
for the whole world.
3. • An ashram can be in many places at the
same time, without being in any specific
location, and it can be totally without
inhabitants. It is a sphere of consciousness
in which people are tuned with one another.
• The sphere of light, or Ashram, with which
an individual is connected is like a major
radio station to which millions of radios are
tuned.
• The radios are nourished by it, and they
nourish it. It is a sphere of consciousness to
which each individual contributes and
receives.
4. “ sharing of consciousness”
In the Ashram, people share their
consciousness ; they need only a little
preparation, technique, and domination over
their physical nature so that they can bring the
sphere of knowledge into practice or
manifestation.
An Ashram is also a center for the reception
of planetary and solar direction, where the plan
for the unfoldment and development of
humanity is revealed. The members of an
Ashram are guided by planetary, solar, and
galactic directions.
5. “sphere of energy”
An Ashram is a sphere
of energy for future
development and
creativity. Whatever is
projected into the vision
eventually builds the
Ashram, the focus of
energies, and those
energies work eventually
to produce or materialize
what they have been
directed to produce.
6. “ashramic vision”
Hierarchy is an Ashram which looks
ahead tens of thousands of years
and then builds. Shamballa looks
ahead another fifty thousand years
and builds. No matter though what
they must pass, eventually their
vision comes true.
Every leadership group and
individual must know the science of
participating with an Ashram,
contributing to the Ashram, and
receiving energy and enthusiasm
from the Ashram so that eventually
the ashramic vision comes in to
reality.
7. “ashram stands for the future”
An Ashram stands for the future, not for
the past. It exists to lead us toward our great
future. This means emancipation from our past.
An Ashram is a bridge to immortality. only
through the Ashram does a person learn
immortality. Any existence below this level
serves death.
It is only in the Ashram that hidden centers
of the brain and consciousness open so that
the person eventually realizes what he was
doing on earth was insane, just a silly game,
and he becomes really sick of it.
8. “seeds of great beauty”
An Ashram contains
various seeds of great
beauty, and these seeds can
bloom in those who contact
the Ashram.
The moment a person
contacts an Ashram, his
talents, his genius, and his
beauty start to unfold.
Unless a person contacts
an Ashram, a larger sphere of
consciousness, he will be the
same person for millions of
years.
9. “ sphere of shocks ”
• An Ashram is also a sphere of shocks,
especially when dealing with the first ray
Ashram. It shocks and shatters. Coming into
realization, you see that you are a spiritual
skeleton. You see the vanity and futility of your
dreams, actions, and plans. shocks awaken us
to reality.
• The Ashram is revelation, or shocks. Whenever
a person contacts the Ashram, there are
different results. shocks can be physical,
emotional, mental, or spiritual. It is not a form of
punishment, but a revelation that helps you
perceive the real condition of your life.
10. “walking ashram”
When a person becomes part of an
Ashram, he becomes a walking Ashram in
his life; he becomes integrated. He is an
Ashram because that is what he actually is.
An Ashram is simply a stabilizing factor,
like the grandmother of a family who is
always at home with the children: calm,
beautiful, happy, and joyful. she is a
stabilizing factor. when the home is an
Ashram, that home is perfect. In the same
way, if the government is an Ashram, that
nation is perfect.
In the teaching, no one must be
excluded or discarded. Everyone is part of
humanity. Every part is essential.
11. “zone of peace”
An Ashram is a centre of peace. peace is
harmonious labour in striving to surpass
your level. It is not peace to sleep.
Ashram are totally neutral; they do not
force. The Ashram is constructed naturally,
and functions naturally.
“we think that the hierarchy is responsible
for the advancement of humanity, but this is
not true. they are doing us a favor by sending
us teaching, but they are not responsible for
humanity!”
