Coursework Evaluation
1. Evaluation As part of my coursework, It is a requirement to evaluate the different stages for the production of my products including my CD cover(digipak), music video and also my website. In this PowerPoint, I am going to illustrate the different stages I undertook in my coursework including feedback from my intended target audiences and also identifying challenges which I faced with the production.
2. Q1. In what way does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products Props (Phone) Camera angle Setting
3.
4.
5. Q3. What have you learnt from audience feedback? YouTube responses to music video Watch the ‘Ell Payne – Special girl’ music video here The music video currently has 190 views and is increasing every week. This suggests that viewers are telling others about the music video which is a positive appeal as this is what would be expected for a music videos produced by international r and b artists such as Trey Songz. The fact that there has been four ‘likes’ for the video and no dislikes reinforces the fact that the audience really enjoyed the music video.
6. According to the direct feedback given in response to uploading the music video onto YouTube, given the fact that the video has only been on the internet for a couple of weeks, it appears that the intended target audience (16-24) was reached as the comments are directly related to professional artists with the likes of Usher; as well as the success of the music video being able to reach the intended audiences, comments also suggests that audiences were able to identify the genre of the music video as well which means that with the production of the music video, the use of the mise-en-scene (props, costume etc) was effective.
7. Q4: How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages? Creating the Digipak , I used a software Known as Photoshop. This was the easiest product to create as it was fairly straight forward considering the fact that using Photoshop was a quality learnt in AS media. This software allowed me to edit the digipak as it suited me enabling me to upload images, and alter their variance in size, quality, colour etc. Final CD Cover
8. Similarly to the CD cover, the creation of my website merely began on the Photoshop software based upon designs from my CD cover and this was that so users are able to distinguish that the products go together. afterwards, I used a software called Dreamweaver. This enabled me in turning my merely designed ‘links’ into actual functional hyperlinks enabling users of my website to navigate between pages. To try website click here : Ell Payne Website
