In the heart of surrey, South East England, An
Establishing shot of the family’s home behind
branches to delineate the sense of someone
watching over the house. The slight darkness
creating a sense of mystery.
FADE TO:
EXT. THE FAMILIES HOUSE – EVENING
A following long low angle shot of the family’s
home from another point of view, behind the front
gate. This is to communicate a feeling of being
trapped to the audience.
SUPERIMPOSITION:
A close up of a newspaper article that slowly
zooms in presenting the fathers death. It sates
his apparent attempt to commit suicide and the
information upon the case.
CUT TO:
EXT. THE CHILDRENS PLAY AREA – EVENING
A long low angle shot of the children’s play
area. This will include a climbing frame, a tree
house and a homemade swing.
CUT TO:
EXT. THE CHILDRENS PLAY AREA – EVENING
2. A close up shot of the children’s swing as it
swings from the wind in slow motion; enhancing
the importance of the child’s innocents.
FADE TO:
EXT. THE FAMILIES BACK GARDEN - EVENING
A long shot of the girl’s reflection in the
garden pond. She is mourning over her father’s
death. Sad facial expression is delineated in the
reflection. This is also to delineate her split
personality.
PAN UP:
EXT. THE FAMILIES BACK GARDEN – EVENING
A long shot of the girl sitting down, looking
into the pond as she aims to be alone to mourn
her father’s death. She appears to be crying as
she is not in control of her actions. She then
gets up and starts walking towards the house.
FADE TO:
EXT. THE FAMILIES BACK GARDEN - EVENING
POV shot of the girl walking towards her house
and into the darkness of the room. Communicating
how the character has turned away from goodness.
CUT TO:
INT. THE FAMILIES DINING ROOM – EVENING
Close Up shot of the girl lighting the candle,
causing the light to emit around the room.
CUT TO:
INT. THE FAMILES DINING ROOM – EVENING
Over the shoulder shot of the girl holding the
candle as she walks past the camera;demonstrating
how the character is hiding a secret.
3. FADE TO:
INT. VARIOUS ROOMS IN THE HOUSE – EVENING
We return to the POV shot of the girl walking
around the house holding the candle, illuminating
all the various features of the house and setting
an environment for the audience. The POV shot
ends as she reaches the door to her room.
CUT TO:
INT. IN FRONT OF THE GIRLS ROOM – EVENING
Close up shot of the girl walking into her room
and shutting the door onto the camera.
Communicating how the character is very isolated
from society.
CUT TO:
INT. GIRLS ROOM – EVENING
Two shot of the girl and her sister having a
conversation in her room. However voices are not
heard at the point in order to create a sense of
mystery for the target audience.
PAN LEFT:
INT. GIRLS ROOM – EVENING
Mid shot of the girl’s toys, dolls included.
FADE TO:
INT. GIRLS ROOMS – EVENING
Close up shot of the girl’s drawings (in crayon).
These delineate the girl’s family and her fathers
death. This is to demonstrate her involvement.

4. INT. GIRLS ROOM – EVENING
A return to the mid shot of the toys and dolls.
The camera slowly zooms into the possessed doll.
Finishing in an Extreme Close up of the dolls
eye.
