3. The STaR Chart stands for: School Technology and Readiness

4. The STaR Chart was developed around the four key areas of the Texas Long-Range Plan for Technology: Teaching and Learning Educator Preparation and Development Leadership, Administration, and Instructional Support Infrastructure for Technology

5. The purpose of the STaR Chart is: To assist all classroom teachers in assessing needs and setting goals for the use of technology in the classroom to support student achievement

6. Texas teachers must: Complete the STaR Chart online, and use the profile annually to gauge their progress in integrating technology into teaching and learning

7. Campus and district data: Can be reported to school boards, community groups, and technology planning committees as it is aligned with state and local goals

8. Statewide summary data: is reported to state and federal policymakers

9. Each key area of the STaR Chart has four classification levels: Early Tech Developing Tech Advanced Tech Target Tech
