1. Brand Identity

2. Brand identity is something that is important for any band or artist, but more importantly for unknown or unsigned bands/artists. This is because they have to create an overall styling and something that will link all aspects of their music together, so that they will become known to people. The ideas I have so far for the brand identity is for their name, The Notice, to link the advert, digi pack and music video together. It will have to be something simple, but something that would stand out and also something that can show the styling of the band. I have included 2 bands/artists to show this point and an album cover where my inspiration could potentially come from.

3. This is the brand recognition for Florence + the Machine, it is something that is show on her album covers, in her videos and appears on the drums; whenever she performs. It is something that is simple and stands out, but is unique to her and shows her individual style because of the use of the font.

4. Here is another example of a band who have a brand identity by use of their name. This is the style that they use for all aspects of their work, whether it is shown somewhere in their video, whilst performing, on their album or on merchandise; it is something that links everything together.

5. I think that the style of the text used on The Foals album cover is really effective and is where I believe, from the designs I have already created, will be where I will get my inspiration from. The style is simple, but effective and is something that could potentially be used on other aspects of promotional material. The bold, black writing would make it stand out on a number of different backgrounds and is something that would be representative of The Notice and the styling that they already have.
