The Lovely BonesTrailer
At the begining of the trailer, there is a lot of
natural lighting representing the happiness that
the characters are experiencing.The characters
appear to have a normal life, but as the trailer
continues, its clear that the movie is not that
way as whole. A lot less lighting is represented
to show sympathy to the characters, and at the
end as the horror side comes into play, there is
a lot of use of flames, which provides an almost
haunting feel.
I like the structure of the trailer, which begins
with a regular,happy family, followed by a
horrid drama, ending with a sense of horror.
This shows the film in many lights, therefore
appealing to a wider audience.

Again, this trailer presents
a range of substitute
genres, including a rom
com, however it is clear
that it has some form of
drama throughout, shown
by the shouted dialogue
and confused speech and
visuals.
The use of text throughout
is an intreseting feature as
it almost includes the
audience and targets them
directly which i think is a
good promotional tool.
4. The Hunger Games The clothing worn at the
start of the trailer shows that
the majority people are
considerably poor, and as this
changes throughout could be
a metaphor for a 'rags to
riches' type story being
shown in this order. I found
the sound interesting in this
clip. At the end, the
soundtrack cuts out and only
a countdown is heard.This
builds suspense to the
unknown event and also for
the viewer seeing the movie.
