He started his career with Medtronic, Inc. as its first international sale
administrator. He was the Founder of St. Jude Medical, Inc. and serv
its Chairman and President from 1976 to 1982. He was the Founder
Cardiac Pacemakers, Inc. and served as its President and Chairman
1972 to 1976. He was Co-Founder of GV Medical, Inc. to develop,
manufacture and market the LASTAC System. He served as the Cha
of CABG Medical, Inc., since January 2001, GV Medical, Inc. from 1
1987 and ATS Medical Inc. from 1987 to May 2004. He served as an
Executive of Multiband Corporation. He serves as a Director at The
Oceanaire, Inc. He served as a Director of Bioheart, Inc. and CABG
Inc. Mr. Villafana also served as a Director of ATS Medical Inc. since
More recently, in 2007, Mr. Villafana founded Kips Bay Medical, Inc.
has been its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer since inception. M

accomplishments, including the "Living Legend of Medicine" award f
