To give you a sense of how dramatically different WaveMaker is than existing web development solutions like .NET, here are some metrics from a customer case study. Our customer built a credit authorization application in .NET. The resulting application was so complex and fragile that they decided to rebuild the application with WaveMaker. They were able to rebuild the app almost 70% faster and with 98% less code.
Kana, a premier provider of CRM solutions and a strategic IBM partner, ships a re-branded version of WaveMaker to their customers that allows them to rapidly customize the Kana CRM solution to meet their specific business workflow and needs. This customization capability allows Kana customers to respond to changing business needs much more quickly – often measured in minutes and not hours/days as well as reducing the cost of their customer solution customizations by up to 75%.
An interesting WaveMaker mash-up application was the ability to integrate contacts from popular social and business collaboration sites like Facebook, LinkedIn and SF.com into IBM’s new LotusLive networking and collaboration offering.
Finally, another example from a logistics company whose mainline business is providing lumping (cargo unloading) services to various shippers. They wanted to replace their paper forms with a paperless straight through process that would provide traceability and accountability for all their warehouse lumping operations to include damaged palette photo capture and processing. This logistics company engaged WaveMaker to deliver the solution that comprised Motion Computing handhelds, and integration with BIRT and JasperReports. So that was a quick look at some WaveMaker developed and delivered application and solutions. Let’s spend a couple minutes getting acquainted with WaveMaker Professional Services. For that I will turn it over to Rene Zhu. Rene is our Director of Professional Services. Prior to WaveMaker, Rene was a Managing Consultant for IBM Global Business Services for several years, led multiple enterprise IT integration projects and strategic consulting engagements in the transportation ,hospitality and retail industries.

We’ve arrived at agile deployment … wasn’t possible before. Change both to how we provision and consume IT resources but ALSO the Business process, which can often times have a greater impact on TCO (e.g., setting up a staging environment, QA, procurement cycles, etc.)
