2. Demented This is a close up shot on the slasher slicing the throat of the office worker. At a slightly high angle, looking down on the office worker being killed, it gives the connotation that character being killed is weak and has little or no chance of escape. The camera here peds up, showing the dangling legs of the character being hung. This is one of the prime examples of different camera movements used in comparison to the preliminary task.
3. Here there are quick cuts which make up around 5 seconds worth of footage. These screenshots show the character running rapidly away from the slasher into an isolated barn. These quick cuts connote that this character is going to experience a quick death. Where as in the preliminary task the cuts are relatively slow and last for about 2-3 seconds each. We have learnt that in order to create suspense, quick cuts are vital to create this effect.
4. Preliminary task In this task, we are able to notice that the range of shots used are very basic. Furthermore have reasonably long durations. The two screenshots below last for around3-4 seconds from the preliminary task. This is an extreme long shot of the character walking down the corridor, connoting that the outcome of the narrative is far away and that the actions of the character are going to be slow This is a very simple medium close up shot, which lasts for a long time also adding to the slow effect of the video.
