ldfloor si colloca al quinto posto nella classifica dei produttori più attenti all'impatto ambientale e al
problema della riforestazione secondo Greenpeace. La guida alla scelta del parquet dell’associazione
ambientalista è stata realizzata raccogliendo le informazioni che le aziende hanno inviato o dichiarato
sui propri siti web aziendali e comprende le più importanti 30 imprese del settore sul mercato italiano. La cata-
logazione si basa su un attento scrutinio delle essenze arboree e della loro provenienza, ispirandosi ai criteri del
Fsc (Forest stewardship council). Le foreste secondo gli standard Fsc devono essere gestite in funzione delle future
generazioni, in base non solo a principi ambientali, ma anche di responsabilità sociale. In questo contesto i legni
e le lavorazioni di Old floor sono tra le meno impattanti in Italia
Old Floor is ranked on the fifth place on the list of producers most concerned with environmental impact and
reforestation problems according to Greenpeace. The environmentalist association guide for choosing the best
parquet, has been made by gathering all the information given and declared by each company on their website,
and includes the 30 most important companies in the Italian wood industry.The cataloguing is based on a careful
count of wood types and their origin, following the criteria stated by the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council).
According to the FSC standards, forests must be controlled and managed for our future generations, not only
environmentally speaking but also as a responsibility towards society. On this basis, Old Floor woods and manu-
facturing are among the lowest impacting on the environment in Italy.

ld floor si affida a Catas nella verifica della sicurezza dei prodotti e sul luogo di lavoro. Le aziende
che trattano il legno sono tenute ad indicare l'eventuale presenza di materiali o sostanze che possono
recare danno all'uomo, alle cose o all'ambiente e puntualmente ogni giorno in azienda si eseguono gli
opportuni controlli per rivelare preventivamente eventuali rischi per la salute. L’esposizione ad agenti chimici e
biologici è accuratamente monitorata non solo per i consumatori finali, ma anche a tutela di dipendenti e colla-
boratori. Catas certifica anche le emissioni di sostanze organiche nell’atmosfera.
Old Floor relies on Catas for safety controls on products and work place. All companies dealing with wood ma-
terial must indicate possible presence of materials or substances that could harm man, objects or the environment.
Everyday Old Floor is subjected to appropriate controls to prevent health risks. Exposition to chemical and
biological agents is accurately monitored not only for the final consumer, but also to protect workers. Catas also
certifies organic substances discharge in the atmosphere.

l tavolato old floor è composto da tre strati di legno massello:
A) Uno strato nobile monoplancia disponibile in diverse essenze legnose (rovere, noce evaporato europeo, pero,
castagno, ciliegio europeo, acacia evaporata, acero europeo, olmo, teak asia, wengè, doussiè, iroko) dello spessore
di 4.8 mm (maxitavole e tavole in rovere) e 4.0 mm (altre essenze e formati).
B) Uno strato centrale in abete (Picea abies Karst.) dello spessore di 5.4 mm per la tipologia 15 mm e di 10.4
per la tipologia 20 mm.
C) Uno strato inferiore della stessa essenza di quella superiore (maxitavole e tavole di rovere) o di una
essenza tecnologicamente compatibile (altre essenze e formati).
La modalità d’ incollaggio dei tre strati che costituiscono il prodotto old floor e la tipologia del collante vinilico
D3 utilizzato, garantiscono elevata stabilità dei materiali nonché assenza di emissione di formaldeide.
Il tavolato viene realizzato con bisellatura sui 4 lati al fine di esaltare le dimensioni dei listoni e impedire che
eventuali imperfezioni del piano di posa possano ripercuotersi sulla planarità superficiale delle tavole.
Il tavolato old floor è realizzato in conformità alla norma uni en 13489:2004 (Elementi multistrato con incastro)
utilizzando materie prime naturali compatibili con le esigenze di rispetto ambientale.
The old floor boards are made with three solid wood layers:
A) A top noble lamella available in different wood types (oak, european steamed walnut, pear, chestnut,
european cherry, steamed acacia, european maple, elm, asian teak, wengè, doussiè, iroko) 4.8 mm thick
(oak maxi floor-boards and floor-boards), while 4.0 mm thick (all other sizes and wood types).
B) A Fir tree central layer (Picea abies Karst.) 5.4 mm thick for the 15 mm size and 10.4 mm thick for the 20
mm size.
C) The bottom lamella of the same type as the top for the oak maxi floor-boards and floor-boards, or any
other technologically compatible wood type (other sizes and wood types).
The gluing system used in the old floor boards and the D3 class vinyl type of gluing guarantee high material
stability as well as absence of formaldehyde emission.
The floor-board is made with bevel on all four sides to exalt size and to avoid that possible imperfections of the
laying surface may effect the floor-board surface planarity.
old floor boards are in compliance with the uni en 13489:2004 standards (multi-layer elements with joint) and
are made with raw natural materials.

esaltare la naturalità del legno garantendo allo stesso tempo una buona resistenza all’abrasione e alle macchie.
The Old Floor boards are available in oiled, waxed, varnished and varnished-waxed finishes. The different fini-
