or procedures.
Can be written as a proposal, but make
the recommendation “obvious.”

4. State the Purpose or
the Problem
In One or Two Sentences, Make
Your Recommendation and State
Possible Benefits.

5. Advantages:
Point out savings or advantages here,
but save your explanation for the
discussion section.

6. Methods or Procedures:
Explain how your suggestion can be
implemented.
Show how many people will be
involved, how much time it will take,
what the costs would be, etc.

7. Conclusions
List your conclusions, but save the
details for the discussion.

8. Discussion
This is the lengthiest portion.
Provide details,(numbers, amounts,
names etc).
Provide explanations.
Describe how you arrived at your
conclusion.
Be precise, impartial, and organized.

10. The Assignment
Write a justification for either your boss
at work, the administration of your
school, or your parents to justify
