Sir James Paul McCartney was born on the 18th
of June, 1942 (aged 70). He was born in
Liverpool, United Kingdom. Paul McCartney had
a mother ca&ed Mary, a father ca&ed James
(“Jim”) McCartney and a younger brother named
Michael.

attend his birth as he was a volunteer firefighter during World
W II.

School $om 1947 until 1949, when he transferred to Joseph
Wi&iams Junior School due to too many people at Stockton.
In 1953 he passed the 11-plus exam gaining admission to the
Liverpool Institute. In 1954, he met a schoolmate George
Harrison on the bus home $om school. The two quickly
became $iends.
When Paul McCartney was born his father was not able to
attend his birth as he was a volunteer firefighter during World
W II.
