7. Design Flexibility
Comerica Park University of Michigan Dearborn Campus
The EZ Wall™ Thin Brick System from the American Brick Company is a designer s
dream! From something as simple as a flat wall to elaborate archways, flowing and
bending radius walls and quoin details. 7
8. Structural Flexibility
The EZ Wall ™ Engineered Thin Brick System s light weight minimizes the use of
footings, and eliminates the need for lintels and wall ties. Now architects can design with
light weight wall assemblies instead of structural steel, cutting construction costs while
maintaining structural integrity and building aesthetics.
8
9. Positive Mechanical Attachments
The EZ Wall ™ System offers the
advantage of positive mechanical
attachments to the structure. A
matrix is created between the brick,
the brick ledge, and the AMBRICO
Mortar, independent of the adhesive
bond.
This ensures trouble free
performance under even the most
severe conditions.
9
10. Compatibility
Thin Brick can easily be combined with other products such as EIFS or traditional face
brick, for maximum design flexibility. An excellent example is the University of Michigan,
Dearborn Campus, where thin brick was installed in conjunction with traditional brick.
Only an expert can discern the difference.
10
11. Speed
The EZ Wall™ System is easier and faster to install than traditional masonry, and that
difference can mean thousands of dollars in reduced construction costs. A delay of a few
weeks or months in completing a job can result in lost sales to the building owner or
tenant. When time is of the essence, count on the EZ Wall™ Engineered Thin Brick
System to speed the completion with top-notch results.
11
12. Year Round Installation
Cold weather months, which can stop traditional masonry in it s tracks, is not a deterrent
to thin brick installation. In situations where time to market is an issue, thin brick can cut
weeks or even months off construction schedules. The EZ Wall™ Engineered Thin Brick
System allows work crews to be productive year round.
12
13. Durability
With proper building maintenance, the EZ Wall™ Engineered Thin Brick System will last
for the life of the building and comes with a 20 year material warranty.
