2. Speed Skating
When you are speed skating you skate around a 400 metre oval
ice rink.The athletes compete in pairs taking turns to change
lanes from inside to out side or outside to inside.

3. Snowboard!
In the parallel slalom,two snowboarders race down the
course,turning through the series of the gates. The
fastest snowboarders can go to the next round. The
top finishes compete in 9 runs.

4. ICE HOCKEY
During the olympic winter games, eight women’s
teams and 12 mens teams compete in round robin
tournaments. top seeded teams from round robin
play advance to the playoff rounds.

5. Bobsleigh
Today’s bobsleigh is built to be fast and aerodynamic, with a
rounded fiberglass nose and four highly polished steel
runners. To begin, the racers, start off in fast mode as they
can for 50 metres, then jump on the bobsleigh in a seated
descent down the track.The drivers steers down the track,
while at the end of the race, the brakeman finished the sled.

6. Ice Dance
• Ice Dance is performed by a couple and
is based by their rhythm.

7. Biathlon
In the relay event, one by one, each member of a
four-person team skies a leg (7.5km for men 6 km
for woman.)tagging the the next team member at
their leg. Each team member skies three legs and
has to stop twice at the shooting area. If an athlete
misses the target,The athlete must ski a 150
penalty lap for each missed shot.

8. Skeleton
There are two individual skeleton events in the olympic
games,one for men and one for woman. Both events consist of
four heats held over two days,timed to 0.01 seconds.

9. Snowboarding
In half pipe one snowboarder at a time performs
a routine of acrobatic jumps,twists and tricks
inside of a half-cylinder shaped as a snow tube or
ramp when moving from one side of the tube to
the other side.

10. SKI JUMPING
In this event,each group is comprised of four athletes
and there are two competition rounds. In the first
round,one skier from each group jumps. Then, the
second skier from each group jumps. Then the
third,followed by the fourth.

11. Figure skating
Figure skating is a sport in which
individual,pairs or groups perform
spins jumps,footwork and other
intricate and challenging moves on
ice.

12. Mascots
The mascots are Miga, Quatchi and Sumi.
