    Embracing Social Media Policy is
    crucial. SMP should include:

•   Can employees discuss work on their
    personal accounts?
•   Is there a distinction between private and
    professional account and content?
•   Who owns the employee’s work-related-
    account?
•   Use of employer’s logo.
•   What is forbidden on social media sites?
•   Protection of employer’s and third party’s
    intellectual property.

•   Inclusion of proper waivers.
•   Address third parties carefully and respect
    their rights and interests.
•   Respect confidentiality and act carefully.
•   Don’t let Internet and social media use
    interfere with your work.
•   Etc.

Tips 4-7:

•   Form an individual Social Media Policy that
    meets your specific business and needs.
•   Make sure all employees sign a copy of
    Policy and verify that they understood it.
•   Conduct ongoing training of employees with
    the Policy.
•   Enforce the Policy on a continuous basis.
•   Continuously monitor social media activity to
    locate breaches as soon as they happens.
