The added effort extends your sales cycle and increases the cost of sales for your product or service.Inherently, by increasing your cost of sales, you end up making less margins on each sale.As a result, you have lower profits overallAfter enough time, the result is that you see your business sinking. Cash becomes tight which means that you cannot invest into R&D, or sales and marketing, which accelerates the death spiral.
