As an early childhood educator, it is important to apply knowledge of positive guidance strategies and problem-solving approaches to understand child development and effectively guide children. Educators should also set up environments suitable to children's ages based on developmental theorists, and motivate learning through affection, support, and verbal/visual aids. The overall goal is to guide and support children's healthy growth physically, mentally, and emotionally as a second parent, citizen, and global citizen investing in a country's future.

1. As an Early Childhood Educator it is very important to know and
apply our knowledge on positive guidance strategies to the children.
ECE should implement and practice the different guidance
strategies to the workplace like school, daycare or at home. We
should apply problem-solving approach in guiding the children and
understanding the child’s development in order to guide them
effectively.
As an Early Childhood Educator it is very important to care and love
the children by giving them our support and affection to their needs.
Applying our knowledge on the different theorist that most influenced
us like Piaget, Vygotsky, Bandura, Erikson, Dewey, Maslow and
others will help us set up the environment suitable for the child’s age
level. As ECE’s we will be able to motivate the children and develop
their interest in learning more and opening new ideas. Helping the
children to understand by using verbal and visual aids is one
objective of a good teacher.
Our goal as an ECE’s is to guide and support the children to grow
physically, mentally and emotionally healthy as we are considered
the second parents of the children while they are under our care. As
a citizen it is our duty and responsibility to guide the children in the
right path in their growing stages in life. As global citizen it is
important to give unconditional love and care to the children
because they are the future of our country.
