・SONY is one of the biggest electronics maker.

・SONY is the world's largest software maker in the
audio-visuals fields.

・SONY have power of brand in audio-visual equipment
and broadcasting equipment.
History

1946 SONY is established by Ibuka Masaru and Morita Akio.

They produced and sold Tape recorder and Transistor radio on
the first time in Japan.


1979 They released WALKMAN (portable audio player)


1994 They released PlayStation(home video game machine)
Problem


・SONY faced a few problems in the current market.


・In 2000, Sony lost 399.3 billion yen.
  The reason is fierce competition mainly with
Apple Inc. and Samsung Electronics Inc.
Example of Problem


・Example of problem
  Slowing down of sales and
revenues,               cost cuttings, moving factories
in Asia,                cooperation between division
and efficient management.
Strategies

・SONY have to take measures to solve the
problems.
 They should adopt for the next generation.

For solving the problems, SONY should have take

 1.Using its technological know-how for high-end
business and office equipment.


 2.Setting up operations in Asian countries by take
advantage of cheap labor and emerging markets,
