3. What makes you want to watch a
thriller?

• Tense music, which compliments the action on screen- Most people felt that the
music of a thriller, often made them want to watch the film. Some people gave
reasons as to why they thought this:
 The music generally adds to the tension.
 Sound makes a great difference to thrillers and without them the audience wouldn’t
get shocks and scares.
• Suspense- most people wrote down suspense.
• Tension
• Realistic and good actors.
• Creative storyline- A lot of people wrote that the storyline is what essentially draws
them into watching a thriller.

There are two main characters in my thriller. One is the abuser (antagonist), who is evil spirited and the other is
the writer, who is quiet with a wild side.

Most people answered graveyard, haunted house and library. I was particular interested
in the library location for my thriller to take place. However, no one gave permission to
film there. Therefore, I got consent to use a graveyard which was what majority of the
people answered.
