HOW MUCH HOMEWORK WILL I HAVE? •  ou  are  expected  to  work   Y consistently  hard  for   Photography.     •  ll  your  work  ‘counts’  towards   A the  final  grade   •  ou  can  expect  to  be  set  up  to  5   Y hours  of  work  to  complete  in   your  own  6me  each  and  every   week.   •  ou  will  need  to  access  the   Y facili6es  outside  of  lesson-­‐6me   and  maybe  aber  college.

HOW WILL MY WORK BE ASSESSED? •  ou  will  be  assessed  by  your   Y teacher  against  the  criteria  set  by   the  exam  board  Edexcel.    A   moderator  then  comes  in  to   check  the  teacher’s  marks  against   na6onal  standards.   •  very  assignment  is  marked   E against  these  4  broad  criteria.   DEVELOP  ideas;  EXPERIMENT   with  techniques;  RECORD   observa6ons;  REALISE  inten6ons.   •  he  final  piece  is  only  worth   T 25%  of  the  marks  for  each   project.  Its  all  about  the  journey   rather  than  the  des6na6on.     •  nit  1  is  worth  60%  of  the  AS   U grade.   •  nit  2  is  worth  40%  of  the  AS   U grade.

WILL I GET TO GO ON TRIPS? •  es.  Every  term  we  will  go  on   Y at  least  one  educa6onal  visit  to   galleries,  museums  or  events;   we  will  arrange  for  you  to  meet   crea6ve  professionals  and  see   them  at  work.       •  e  will  go  out  of  the   W classroom  to  shoot  images   regularly  and  you  will  be   encouraged  to  seek  out   interes6ng  loca6ons  yourself.     •  e  aim  to  also  organise  an   W interna6onal  residen6al  trip   perhaps  to  Paris,  Florence,     New  York  or  Venice.
