Science: READY….. SET….
          GO!
Objective: To have kids get to know each other and to provoke
           curiosity about learning new things throughout the year

 Students would encounter stations or PODS when they 1st
 walk in – each POD would have a different focus, giving students hints as to
 what we will be working on the coming year


A microscopic view of pond                                 Snapshot of the challenges
water                                                      Facing fresh water ecosystems
                             A look at different
                             levels of fetal development
View the life cycles and behavior of
insects by observing an extra large ant farm

                                 Lifecycle of Xenopus from fertilized egg
                                 to adulthood with a dissected sample on display

                                                                 Using Tablet tecnology to find
                                                                 more abiut the human body




     Each station would have students would find a question sheet the answers to
     which would be found when they investgaed the POD– ideally
     most pods would have sound effects From frog noises to underwater sounds
