Long journey of Ruby standard library at RubyConf AU 2024
Editor's Notes
In today’s webinar we’re going to go over the findings of this new research I’ve just finished called Global Trends in Language Learning in the Twenty-first century. We’ll go over what’s out and what’s in. Then, you’ll get some practical tips on how to have a twenty-first century language classroom in the coming school year.
I expect that the presentation should take about 20 to 25 minutes. Then we’ll open the floor to questions. If that sounds good to you, click the green check mark or type “yes” into the chat box.
Before I get into the presentation, I’d like to thank Steve and the folks at Elluminate for setting up this webinar for me and for making the technology available to you today free of charge.
Let’s give them a round of applause! Click the applause button in the upper left hand corner or type “clap, clap, clap” into the chat box.
In exchange for providing Elluminate’s services for free, Steve has asked that I record the session so it can be archived for others to access later on. So this is your head’s up that today’s session will be recorded.
And I have to acknowledge my colleagues at the Language Research Centre at the University of Calgary. This is a hub of language research in Canada and I’m very grateful to be a Research Associate there.
