- Made a strategic decision to combine the RFA’s under the Academic-Community Research Partnership Award. Confusion between the subtle differences of community-based health intervention and health and research policy. This option was provided so that they don’t necessarily have to default to the Research Pilot category. No awards for:CTU-specific Research Project Academic-Community Partnership New Direction Under-represented Faculty CORE-specific Investigation Mobile Health Research Project

- Make it clear that this is the number participated and not the number available. Distinguish both Prior to Spring 2012 – We had a pretty scant reviewer pool. Spring 2012 – We recruited 80 people Just some background, we had 178 applications, all were reviewed by our reviewer pool of about 80. Imagine the burnout they must have felt that cycle. Fall 2012 – We launched our reviewer recruitment form for interested individuals to sign-up. If we felt they were qualified enough to review, we would in turn send them an invitation letter to participate as a reviewer. Spring 2013 - By this time, we were able to get a few more interested individuals to join our reviewer pool. This Fall 2013 – we are estimating about 193 reviewers to actively participate during the review process. Why such a jump between Spring 13 and Fall 13? We did additional outreach to credible faculty members from the PIBBS website after going through a comprehensive list with one of our former Review Committee Chairs.
- 193 Reviewers 29 CHLA 69 Clinicians 5 from other Institutions or Entities Ian Hutchinson and Sanjeev Baniwal left USC but are still interested in serving as reviewers

- LOI sent Fall 2010 and previous years Normalize the number of applications received at about 80 People starting to understand what pilot funding is realizing that they may not be a fit to apply. Changes in administration caused the jump and increase of pilot funding. Number of allowed resubmissions Applicants used to be able to apply to 2 applications before. Need to find out how many unique applications were submitted in Spring 2012 (per Investigator) PI and co-PI cannot apply. So the rules got a little more stringent hence the changing numbers and decline
