PJ Mechanical was founded in 1971 by Peter James Pappas. It is a New York based mechanical contractor. It is a prominent engineering firm that specializes in installing HVAC systems in newly constructed buildings.

James Pappas is the son of the Co-founder of
the company. At PJ Mechanical, James
Pappas served for 29 years in different
capacities. He is an active member of
NephCure Foundation which is a non-profit
organization. It was established in 1999 and it
supports the research organizations that are
devoted to research causes of the Nephrotic
Syndrome, potentially debilitating kidney
diseases, and Focal Segmental
Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS).
3. It also provides forum for sharing, supporting
and raising awareness about the disease by
educating local families and individuals. He is
committee member of Special Olympics and
has been taking part in dinner and golf
outings for past 7 years.
4. James Pappas Joined The CCFA In 1995
James Pappas joined the Crohn’s & Colitis
Foundation of America (CCFA) which is a
volunteer-driven organization dedicated to
finding the cure for Crohn's Disease and
ulcerative colitis. The mission of this
foundation is to cure the patients suffering
from these diseases and to improve the
quality of life of children and adults who have
been affected by Crohn's and ulcerative
colitis.
5. The foundation has over 50,000 members
and it is not a government-supported agency
that relies on the support of their members
and donors. When James’ daughter was
diagnosed with Crohn's disease at age of 5,
he and his wife became a part of CCFA.
6. James Pappas Was The Co-Chairperson
Of Spring Gala
In 2000, James Pappas became the Co-
Chairperson of Spring Gala (CCFA), and in
2006, he became the co-chairperson of
CCFA Golf Outing. He has been helping
people affected with Crohn's diseases and
ulcerative colitis for many years. For his
dedication towards CCFA, James Pappas
was rewarded with the Man of the Year
Award and he has also served as a
President of CCFA from 2004 to 2008.

numerous organizations including St.
