Tasting Notes
Quite frothy, this wine has a great aroma of peaches, pears and apples with a bit of fresh baked bread to round it out. Dry on the
palate with just a tiny bit of residual sweetness.

Founded in 1923 by a Russian princess who fled Moscow and its revolutionary unrest for Epernay, Louis Barthélémy was
acquired (and renamed) in 2002 by Jean-Barthélémy Chancel. “Saphir”, aged for 6 years in bottle, translates in ancient Greek to
“most gorgeous thing”.

Rose Champagne is all about glamour and fun. It is also the only wine made in the EU that is legally allowed to blend already
made red and white wine together, to make rose. Here Thienot uses 7% of the Pinot Noir from a still red wine made from old
vineyards.
