Niépce invented a process to take photographs:
• He smeared special
plates with bitumen
of Judea and exposed
them to the sunlight
inside a camera
obscura for eight
hours.
• Later, it realized a process of developing with
oils and dried the plate. He called the process
““heliographyheliography””..

• Joseph Nicéphore
Niépce was borned in
Chalon-sur-Saône,
Burgundy, France, the
7th March of 1765. He
was a landowner and
scientist.

• Niépce agreed with Louis Daguerre, an artist, looking
for a method to reproduce images without painting
them, and partnered with him. But Niépce died in
1833, without making his invention public, and
Daguerre divulgued it as the Daguerreotype.
