Nuclear Proliferation is the spread and distribution of nuclear material and weapons The IAEA has defined safeguards against Nuclear Proliferation The NPT (Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty) is a treaty against the spread of Nuclear Weapons Only four countries have not signed the NPT (North Korea,India, Israel, Pakistan)
Some people think that the distribution of Nuclear Material is dangerous and risky, while others think that it will provide a cheap alternative resource to people around the world.
While Nuclear Material can be unstable it has many peaceful uses, including powering vehicles (ships, subs, planes, etc..) and even entire communities
Nuclear Power is very powerful and lasts very long It is one of the cleanest types of power, and produces almost no pollution
Nuclear Power is unstable and when in the hands of the wrong people can be a catastrophic force Nuclear Weapons are dangerous and do more damage than any other weapon
Even after the initial explosion of a Nuclear Bomb there are still many “after” effects ( Nuclear Poisoning, Cancer, etc…) Nuclear Weapons can cause many Deaths and can change lives permanently
The answer to if Nuclear Proliferation really depends on the person, what they think about the issue, and how they have been educated on the issue
